Jackson Family Dentistry is a leading provider of emergency dental services to patients across Jackson, NJ. We are committed to delivering quality direct-to-consumer care by using our breakthrough collaboration methods with our on-site medical team (Urgent Care 24 7). We provide much-needed emergency care to patients who otherwise would have to wait possibly days for pain relief. Our fee-for-service model and third-party financing allows our team to focus on delivering optimal treatment for our patients without having insurance companies dictate treatment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking full, part time or on-call emergency Dentists for our patient-centered clinic to join us in redefining the standard of care for emergency dentistry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and will be open to taking a new approach to dental care by collaborating with our medical team. They should be friendly, energetic, motivated, dependable, and organized with a cheerful attitude.
You must be proficient in general dentistry with the ability to handle a wide variety of dental emergencies. We have an on-call schedule that is flexible with the option to be on-site during emergencies. Hourly pay plus overtime pay is offered for extended periods of time.
This position is cross-trained with other departments such as odontology and prosthodontics.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat acute tooth injuries and dental emergencies such as broken jaws, fractured jaws, toothaches, etc.
- Develop treatment plans using established guidelines based on patient histories and medical documentation
- Measure and record blood pressure during treatments to ensure consistency in diagnosis and patient care
- Infuse patients with warfarin when needed (Bilberry extract)
- Infuse patients with other antiretroviral medications as needed (by appointment only)
- Perform routine dental procedures such as crowns, dentures, etc.
- Comfortable using an electronic dental chart system (Dentrix) throughout your work day
- Ensure all treatments are performed in accordance with established protocols (e.g., making note of patient's medical history)
- Maintain the health and safety of the patients you treat; follow established protocols for sterilization and cleanliness purposes
- Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., preparing the office space, maintaining supplies inventory, etc.)
Work Experience: Dentist 1 year experience in a similar role OR 2 years' experience as a Dentist in a similar practice
