What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead position at Jackson Electrical Contractors, Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming orders and accurately record them in the inventory spreadsheet. Facilitate transfer of those orders to the appropriate field staff.
- Pull and/or order materials as requested by PMs and Foremen, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling orders.
- Stock materials and orders in their designated locations within the warehouse following established procedures to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Operate the tool crib, maintaining its organization and cleanliness to ensure efficient tool management and accessibility.
- Deliver materials to jobsites and transport materials between Greenville and Asheville warehouses as needed.
- Collaborate with the warehouse manager to support overall warehouse operations, and maintain warehouse facilities and equipment.
- Maintain a high level of reliability and dependability, consistently meeting attendance and punctuality requirements.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Safely operate forklift, lull and other material handling equipment.
- Be comfortable using ladders or lifts to access elevated storage areas or perform tasks as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during warehouse operations, performing tasks such as material handling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, utilizing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Basic computer skills to navigate inventory software and other related systems.
- Valid driver's license
- Good time management and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently
- Able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Able to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Prior experience with electrical materials or the construction industry in general is a plus.
