Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Instructional Designer who thrives on developing innovative, engaging learning experiences. This role will lead the ideation, research, design, and continuous evolution of training strategies and content across multiple formats, including in-person and virtual delivery (print, video, facilitation, voiceover, live broadcast, 1:1 sessions, in-dealership training, and web-based communications).
This individual will bring extensive experience across content development, facilitation, process mapping, behavior change, organizational culture transformation, and live virtual delivery. You should be skilled in creating interactive, impactful content that drives adoption, influences behavior, and ensures practical application of key concepts. This role is responsible for delivering world-class strategic and creative solutions aligned with client brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Help define and evolve the vision, philosophy, and processes behind creative solutions
- Ensure all deliverables align with client goals and measurable outcomes
- Develop experience-driven content that inspires meaningful change
- Lead content reviews, ideation sessions, and collaborative workshops with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients
- Contribute tobrainstorming sessions to develop concepts and curriculum strategies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Partner with sales and account teams to develop proposals and deliver compelling pitches
- Create and deliver high-impact, professional presentations
- Manage relationships with internal and external creative partners, including agencies, freelancers, and contributors
- Collaborate cross-functionally to produce unique, high-quality deliverables
- Apply expertise in content strategy, design thinking, automotive industry insights, and emotional engagement
- Identify and interpret relevant trends, translating them into actionable ideas
- Provide support as needed, including occasional work outside standard business hours
- Act as a thought leader by identifying opportunities and proposing innovative solutions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven ability to research, ideate from scratch, design, write, coach facilitators, and refine content that drives lasting behavioral and organizational change
- Demonstrated success creating innovative, experiential training programs that deliver measurable outcomes
- 10 years of experience in instructional design, content creation (digital, video, print), writing, or journalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and multimedia tools such as Frame.io
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Comfortable working in a flexible environment, including virtual collaboration and occasional non-traditional hours
