Responsibilities
- Operate cremation equipment, including traditional cremation units, ensuring proper setup and shutdown procedures.
- Transport remains for cremation with care, respecting all legal and ethical guidelines.
- Witness cremations to ensure transparency and uphold funeral ethics standards.
- Manage post-cremation processing using specialized equipment, including sorting, cleaning, and preparing remains for final disposition.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of all cremation processes, including documentation of each case in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including heavy lifting, industrial equipment troubleshooting, and handling hazardous materials safely.
Experience
- Prior experience in crematory operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment used in cremation processes is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate industrial machinery effectively.
