Student Support Assistant/ ISS Tutor
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Non Exempt Position; 10 month position; Full Time 40hr/wk
SALARY: Salary Scale 04-06 Based on Qualification and Expierence
QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate with completion of at least two years of higher education or completion of an associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree in job related field preferred; educator license preferred; high level of computer proficiency; good communication skills; ability to work with confidentiality; demonstrate a supportive, flexible, and positive attitude; self-starter and highly organized; team player; good job attendance with previous employers.
DUTIES: Provide supervision and support of students in Refocus program, ISS, or accessing media center resources. Consults with classroom teachers and administration on issues such as behavior and emotion management and attendance; provide behavior support; monitor student progress; coordinate with HIGHTS program; supervise some students in online courses; report progress to faculty, administration, and parents; maintain confidentiality of student records and information; additional duties as assigned by the superintendent, principal, or principal's designee.
