Overview
We are looking for an energetic, community minded news reporter to join our team and tell the stories that matter to our readers.
Duties
- Covering local government, schools, community events and meetings
- Conducting interviews and developing story ideas
- Writing accurate, engaging news stories
- Taking photos and gathering information for stories
- Building relationships with community members and local organizations
- Meeting deadlines,
- This position will require working evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of AP style guidelines
- Experience with InDesign helpful but not required.
Previous journalism experience is preferred, but strong writers with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
