Job Duties:
- Responsible for planning, operation, organizing and implementation of Jackson County's anti-crime sales tax, commonly called COMBAT
- Offers leadership and direction to the COMBAT funded agencies and assure that each of these funded programs are operating at a high-level of performance; facilitates the linkage of COMBAT programs to other similar agencies and programs for both programmatic and financial optimality
- Responsible for identifying innovative programs; and will work with various community and citizen groups, through information and programming, to create safer Jackson County neighborhoods.
- Incumbent should be a proven leader in healthcare, substance abuse, legal, criminal justice or public administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Criminology, Public Health or related field.
- Five years of experience in supervision and administration.
- Must submit to and pass a background check and drug screen.
Additional Job Description:
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working collaboratively with both community members and law enforcement agencies.
- Preference will be given to individuals who hold a master's degree in public administration, criminal justice, or sociology and who possess strong expertise in data analysis.
