Department: Parks Rec Grade: 150 Salary: $20.53/hour Job Duties: Responsible for operating specialized maintenance equipment and is proficient in use of handheld equipment, hand tools, and other power equipment; performs asset and infrastructure improvements and manual labor as necessary. Maintains the greenhouses; sorts, plants, waters, sprays, weeds, cultivates, and prunes trees and shrubs. Disks and mows pastures/fields/food plots using rotary tillers, tractors, power sprayers, and lawnmowers; plants trees, mows around flower beds and sprays chemicals as needed to eliminate pests. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or its equivalent. 1 -3 years of experience in an industry related position or craft. Must complete Division specific training as directed. Must obtain a Class B Missouri Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement within six (6) months of hire. Heavy lifting is required, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds. Additional qualification dependent on department needs: Must have obtained a Class A commercial driver's license with air brake endorsement and HAZMAT or can obtain/retain HAZMA T endorsement within six (6) months of hire, where applicable.
