Department: Sheriff Grade: 130 Salary: $20.00/hour Job Duties: Perform administrative tasks and data entry associated with the processing of warrants, writs, extraditions, and judgements in the Fugitive Apprehension Unit. Prepare travel information and communicate details on inmates being extradited from police departments, sheriff departments, national and state penal institutions. Verify active warrants with police and sheriff departments nationally and statewide by phone and/or computer systems. Communicate by phone and/or electronically with various law enforcement agencies, attorneys, court personnel, bondsmen, probation officers, prosecutors, public defenders, city and county jails, penal institutions, federal agencies, complainants, and the general public. Minimum Qualifications: Must have a High School diploma or GED. One year of experience in an office, business, or a related field. Must possess/maintain appropriate certifications for assigned department. Depending on the needs of the assigned department, certification as a Notary Clerk may be required.
