What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant position at Jackson County Memorial Hospital?
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Oklahoma required.
Experience in various clinical settings preferred, but new grads welcome.
Previous work history that demonstrates steady and punctuality is required.
Elicits health history appropriate for type of visit, i.e. wellness, chronic care, acute care, follow-up, counseling.
History includes history of present illness, history of previous illness and/or surgeries, review of systems, family and social history.
History includes evaluation of development, maturation, coping ability, activities of daily living, emotional and social well-being as appropriate.
Physical examination is appropriate for age, gender and type of visit.
Physical examination is comprehensive and appropriate for presenting problem and routine screening.
Physical examination is documented appropriately.
Diagnostic tests are appropriate for the evaluation being performed.
Results are documented in the medical record.
Appropriate action is taken and documented based on the results of the diagnostic test, i.e. referral, treatment, teaching, further evaluation, etc.
The patient is informed of diagnostic test results.
Demonstrates ability to be flexible and organized; demonstrates ability to function well under stressful situation.
Displays courtesy and caring attitude toward patient and visitors.
Develops and implements, with the individual and/or family, a plan of care to promote, maintain and restore health based on current standards of care.
