What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Record Analyst I position at Jackson County Memorial Hospital?
Job Summary: Evaluates, analyzes and monitors the patient’s medical record for compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agencies, as well as medical staff rules and regulations. Also is responsible to analyze charts of same day surgery, recurring and acute care patients to maintain a high quality of accuracy and productivity. Abstracts clinical information into information system as outlined in departmental policies.
Education/Regulatory Requirements & Experience:
- Associates Degree in related field preferred
- Three months related experience in acute care setting preferred.
- Must pass Clerical Ability Test with overall score of 80% or better, 30 wpm.
- Knowledge of scanner preferred
- Medical terminology.
- Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
