AVAILABLE BEFORE 1/18/2027
President & Chief Executive OfficerJackson County Economic Development Partnership

The Jackson County Economic Development Partnership (the "Partnership") is seeking an accomplished, visionary, and relationship-driven leader to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a respected economic development organization with local responsibility, regional influence, and statewide recognition.

Following a period of significant organizational growth, expanded regional collaboration, and increased statewide visibility under its current leadership, the Partnership seeks its next CEO to build upon a strong foundation and lead the organization into its next chapter of success.

The Partnership serves as the lead economic development organization for Jackson County, Ohio, and its municipalities. In addition, the Partnership provides regional leadership through the administration of the Joint Economic Development Initiative of Southern Ohio (JEDISO), a collaborative economic development partnership representing Jackson, Pike, Ross, and Scioto Counties. The Partnership also administers the Jackson County Port Authority and the Jackson County Land Bank.

The President & CEO serves as the Partnership's chief executive and principal economic development practitioner. This leader will be responsible for advancing economic development opportunities, strengthening relationships, growing organizational capacity, and delivering measurable impact for Jackson County and Southern Ohio.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Partnership and its affiliated initiatives.

• Lead business attraction, business retention and expansion, redevelopment, and investment activities.

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for employers, investors, developers, site selectors, public officials, state agencies, and regional partners.

• Shepherd economic development projects from opportunity identification through implementation and long-term relationship management.

• Negotiate and structure strategic agreements, partnerships, incentives, and development opportunities.

• Oversee organizational operations, staff, contractors, programs, financing initiatives, grant administration, and compliance responsibilities.

• Build organizational capacity through strategic partnerships, resource development, and growth opportunities.

• Represent the Partnership as its chief ambassador and spokesperson.

The Leader We Are Seeking:

The successful candidate understands that economic development is fundamentally a relationship business. They listen before they speak, build trust through competence and responsiveness, and recognize that long-term success is built through partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a decisive, collaborative leader who can balance strategy with execution, entrepreneurship with stewardship, and independent judgment with effective governance.

The Partnership is seeking someone who understands that ribbon cuttings are milestones—not finish lines. Exceptional economic development requires service after the announcement, continued relationship-building, and a commitment to helping businesses and communities succeed.

Candidates should possess:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Three or more years of executive, senior leadership, or organizational management experience.

• At least two years of economic development experience preferred, or related experience demonstrating the ability to successfully lead an economic development organization.

• Demonstrated success building relationships with business leaders, investors, public officials, community stakeholders, and strategic partners.

Professional experience in economic development, business leadership, government, community development, chambers of commerce, nonprofit organizations, or related fields will be considered. OEDA, IEDC, or comparable professional development credentials are preferred but not required.

The Partnership offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including:

• Competitive salary

• SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with employer contribution/match

• Mileage reimbursement

• Paid time off

• Flexible schedule

• Professional development opportunities
