Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Service Advisor role based in Macon, GA at VW of Macon. The Service Advisor will act as the primary contact for customers requiring maintenance or repairs for their vehicles. Responsibilities include providing customer-focused service, managing service appointments, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every step. The role also involves communicating repair needs, offering aftersales support, and delivering timely updates on vehicle status.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Greet customers and listen to their description of the problems or service needed for their vehicles
- Determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders
- Coordinate with auto mechanics and schedule mechanical work orders
- Estimate costs, verify insurance, and write repair reports
- Conduct inspections and test drive cars
- Educate customers on preventative maintenance and recommend additional repairs if needed
- Maintain customer records and make follow-up contact
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer-focused Service skills with a commitment to delivering positive experiences
- Exceptional Communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey necessary information to customers and team members
- Experience or knowledge in Aftersales processes within the automotive industry
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using service management systems and tools
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in automotive services is a plus
- Previous experience in a similar role or within the automotive industry is preferred
