What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Worker position at Jacks B Quick Boarding Resort?
- Feed and water all dogs according to their individual schedules and instructions.
- Thoroughly clean, wash, and disinfect kennels, runs, floors, and common areas throughout the day.
- Pick up and dispose of dog waste and maintain proper sanitation at all times.
- Walk, exercise, supervise, and safely move dogs throughout the facility.
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes, including large, energetic, and strong dogs.
- Lift and carry dog food bags, cleaning supplies, bedding, and other kennel equipment as needed.
- Change bedding, clean bowls, refill supplies, and maintain organized kennel areas.
- Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, stress, aggression, or unusual behavior and report concerns promptly.
- Supervise group play and individual exercise while following established safety procedures.
- Follow feeding instructions, medication directions, and special care requirements as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate important information to coworkers and management.
- Follow all cleaning, sanitation, animal handling, and facility safety procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and ensure all areas meet facility standards before the end of the shift.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the daily operation of the boarding kennel.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
