Locations 840 N First St, San Jose, CA 95112 & 321 S 1st St, San Jose, CA 95113 

• Job Type: Full Time and Part Time  
•   Compensation: Hourly Tips between $18- $25per hour Hourly  

About Us: Jackie’s Place is a family-owned restaurant known for warm welcomes, great food, and a friendly atmosphere. We’re looking for an upbeat Front of House Team Member to greet guests, create a positive dining experience, and help make every visit memorable.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional attitude
• Manage the seating chart and coordinate with food runners to optimize table turnover
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately
• Answer phones, relay information accurately, and provide information about the menu or specials
• Keep the host stand, entryway, and cash register area clean and organized
• Assist with takeout orders and packaging when needed
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure excellent guest experiences

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Previous experience as a cashier, host/hostess, or in customer service preferred
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining friendly and calm
• Team player with a customer-focused mindset
