Jack & Sons Welding and Fabricating LLC is looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join our team full-time.
We're a welding and fabrication company, and we take quality seriously. We're looking for someone who understands that a strong quality system involves a lot more than measuring parts at final inspection.
This position combines hands-on manufacturing quality, ISO 9001 documentation, inspection, CAD/drawing review, quality system support, and working directly with our production team.
You need to be as comfortable handling quality documentation as you are walking onto the shop floor and verifying that a part meets the print.
WE KNOW FABRICATION. YOU NEED TO KNOW QUALITY.
We're looking for someone with 2–5 years of manufacturing quality experience who understands how a real-world quality system works.
One minute you may be maintaining ISO documentation or completing a quality report; the next you may be reviewing a CAD drawing, operating Keyence inspection equipment, verifying dimensions, or working with production to resolve a quality issue.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As our Quality Technician, you'll support the day-to-day operation of our quality system, including:
- Supporting and maintaining our ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Maintaining quality records, documentation, forms, reports, procedures, and work instructions
- Supporting document control, corrective actions, nonconformances, and audit activities
- Reviewing customer drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and quality requirements
- Using CAD software to review drawings and support manufacturing and quality activities
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications
- Operating Keyence inspection and measurement equipment
- Performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Using standard dimensional inspection and measuring equipment
- Completing and maintaining accurate inspection documentation
- Identifying and documenting nonconforming material or workmanship
- Assisting with root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Working directly with production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues
- Supporting internal and external ISO/customer audits
- Maintaining calibration and inspection equipment records
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Required qualifications:
- 2–5 years of manufacturing quality experience
- Degree in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001
- Experience with Keyence inspection/measurement equipment
- Proficiency with CAD software
- Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications
- Experience maintaining quality documentation and records
- Experience with dimensional inspection and precision measuring equipment
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, management, customers, and suppliers
