Duties

• Operate commercial-grade dryers, washers, tunnel dryers, conveyor dryers, and garment care machines safely and efficiently.
• Handle laundry washing using appropriate fabric care techniques, including bleach washing, cold and hot water stain removal, baking soda stain removal, and steam cleaning.
• Perform mechanical stain removal procedures for stubborn spots using specialized equipment and techniques.
• Label garments accurately to ensure proper identification and tracking throughout the laundry process.
• Manage laundry folding machines and stackable dryers to produce neatly organized linens and garments.
• Conduct laundry ironing and pressing using professional pressing machines to achieve crisp, professional finishes.
• Maintain an organized workspace by tracking inventory levels of cleaning supplies, detergents, and laundry accessories; restock as needed.
• Operate barrier washers and tunnel washers following safety procedures to ensure optimal cleaning results while maintaining safety standards.
• Use push carts and other equipment to transport laundry efficiently within the facility.
• Ensure all laundry operations adhere to safety protocols related to machine operation and chemical handling.
• Support customer service efforts by providing clean linens promptly for guest needs or department requests.

Requirements

• Prior experience in hotel or commercial laundry environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of fabric care principles, including stain removal techniques such as baking soda, bleach, hot water, cold water, and steam cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate various laundry machinery including tunnel washers, conveyor dryers, pressing machines, and laundry folding equipment safely.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking systems for supplies and chemicals used in laundry processes.
• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning standards are met consistently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads of linens or garments.
• Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards guests or staff requesting laundry services.
