Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution and efficiency
- Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to keep landscapes vibrant and healthy
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, planting, mulching, and soil preparation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators safely and effectively on various projects
- Assist with landscaping projects by preparing sites, laying sod or seed, and installing features like retaining walls or decorative elements
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components and landscape features to identify issues early and resolve them promptly
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with mechanical systems, power tools, and heavy machinery
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems and landscape equipment
- Experience with irrigation installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning, planting, mulching, and soil management
- Proficiency in using hand tools (shovels, pruners), power tools (trimmers, blowers), and construction machinery (excavators)
- Understanding of horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments
