In this role, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing daily service department operations, ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient workflow. You will work closely with technicians, service advisors, and customers to maintain a smooth and productive environment that meets both customer satisfaction and business targets.
Responsibilities- Assist the Service Manager in managing daily service department activities.
- Coordinate and monitor the work of service technicians and advisors.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers regarding service progress and vehicle status.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area.
- Support in managing parts inventory and ordering processes.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve service-related issues effectively.
- Assist with scheduling and training of service department staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Previous experience in automotive service management or a related role preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive service procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency with inventory management and scheduling software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is advantageous.
