Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and recommendations
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
• Upsell products and promote current promotions to enhance customer experience and sales
• Maintain clean and organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure products are properly labeled
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of items
• Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts
• Handle customer concerns professionally, ensuring a positive resolution that encourages loyalty

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
