Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience, and addressing customer inquiries with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage food handling responsibilities including stocking supplies, bussing tables, and assisting in food prep when needed to support overall restaurant operations.
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking between cashiering, serving customers, and food preparation while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and retail math calculations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Experience in cashiering, food preparation, or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes will be beneficial.
