Field Laborer / Pipe Layer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Field Laborer / Pipe Layer to join our crew. This position involves assisting with the installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm systems. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation of underground pipe (water, sewer, storm)
- Set pipe grade using lasers and grade rods
- Work in trenches and around heavy equipment safely
- Load/unload materials and tools
- Assist equipment operators and foremen as needed
- Perform general labor duties such as shoveling, grading, and site cleanup
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in excavation, underground utilities, or construction preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor daily
- Valid drivers license preferred
- Knowledge of grades, trench safety, and pipe installation is a plus
