Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to oversee the production process from purchase order issuance through final garment delivery. This role is critical in ensuring production timelines are met, quality standards are upheld, and communication between internal teams and overseas vendors remains seamless.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the production workflow from PO issuance through final delivery
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to obtain approvals and communicate feedback to vendors
- Provide vendors with supplemental documents, packaging guidelines, and order-specific instructions
- Communicate daily with overseas vendors and Asia office to track production status and sample submissions
- Ensure timely submission and review of:
- Lab dips
- Strike-offs
- Trims
- Bulk fabric samples
- Fit samples
- Pre-production (PP) samples
- Top-of-production (TOP) samples
- Maintain and update production TNA reports and calendars
- Monitor production schedules to prevent delays and proactively resolve issues
- Ensure bulk production aligns with approved standards and timelines
- Provide regular production status updates to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5 years of production coordination experience in the apparel industry
- Strong understanding of apparel development, sourcing, and manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to manage vendor communication and customer approvals
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong follow-up
- Proficiency in Excel and production tracking systems (PLM, ERP)
- Experience working with overseas vendors and factories
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Apparel Production, or related field
- Experience working with overseas vendors, particularly in Asia
- Familiarity with WIP tracking and approval systems
