House Cleaning Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed.
• Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, mops, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or appliances safely and effectively.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning preferences and address any special requests or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by managing supplies, restocking cleaning products, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
• Follow all safety protocols related to janitorial practices, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and outdoor work safety when applicable.

Experience

• Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cleaning surfaces such as carpets, tiles, hardwood floors, and upholstery through carpet cleaning or floor care techniques.
• Knowledge of janitorial procedures, sanitation standards, and the use of various cleaning detergents and equipment.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within scheduled timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
• Customer service experience that enables clear communication with clients and understanding of their needs.
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary.
• Experience with outdoor work environments or outdoor cleaning projects is a plus for versatile candidates.
