Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize and validate molecular biology methods for parameters such as: VCN, gene editing proficiency, infectious titer, genomic titer, replication competent lentivector, residual DNA, etc
Understand viral vector designs and develop appropriate molecular assays to support assay development in gene and cell therapies.
Develop and optimize CRISPR-based screens using genome-wide and targeted gRNA libraries
Perform molecular biology techniques, including cloning, DNA plasmid purification (small & large-scale) and in vitro transcription to generate assay controls, PCR (qPCR, dPCR) and ELISA-based assays.
Analyze and interpret data, prepare technical reports, and present findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support assay development, contract research service or QC testing.
Essential Qualifications
A PhD or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field.
Required: Extensive, hands-on experience in PCR (qPCR and dPCR) and NGS assays and bioinformatic analysis is required.
A robust understanding of molecular assay performance criteria, applicable to fluorescent qPCR/dPCR assays (including multiplexed assays), according to applicable regulatory guidance.
Knowledge and experience with retroviral, transposon, or retroelement molecular biology
Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
A sense of urgency, speed, persistence, and organization in a dynamic and exciting work environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
