What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Loader - Night Shift position at JACAM CATALYST CAREERS?
Position Summary:
- Drive semi-trailer trucks in yard (CDL not required) and also drive forklift to load/offload semi-trailer
Essential Functions:
- General maintenance and housekeeping office and yard
- Transfer products between different packaging
- Assist in the inspection of chemical drums and totes for damage and leaks
- Assist with movement of chemical inventory in Gardendale yard using a forklift
- Wear proper PPE at all times in accordance with policies
- Become proficient with required Safety and Hazmat policies, procedures, and reporting
- Maintain, inspect, and clean equipment and facilities as required
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Skills & Abilities:
- Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse.
- Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job.
- Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging—tip and move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 lb, with the use of a drum dolly.
Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors, with occasional driving involved. The employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes. The employee must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, and manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude helpful. Use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to, a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and an H2S Monitor as required or needed.
