Job Responsibilities**
- Perform complex mechanical and electrical assembly of servers, storage devices, networking equipment, and other hardware components into rack systems according to detailed blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Execute intricate cabling, including fiber optic and copper, ensuring proper routing, dressing, and termination for optimal performance and aesthetics.
- Conduct thorough quality checks and functional testing on assembled racks and integrated systems to verify compliance with specifications and identify any defects or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex assembly, cabling, or component issues, escalating to engineering or management when necessary.
- Utilize various hand and power tools, specialized test equipment, and measurement devices with precision and safety.
- Read and interpret highly technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other production teams to improve processes and product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Train and mentor less experienced assemblers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rack and stack assembly, server integration, or a similar electronics manufacturing role, demonstrating advanced technical skills.
- Proven ability to read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Expertise in various cabling techniques, including fiber optic and copper, and best practices for cable management.
- Strong understanding of server, networking, and storage hardware components and their interdependencies.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a high-performing team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
