Job Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies against established specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
- Perform various tests using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and specialized testing equipment.
- Document inspection and test results accurately and completely, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.
- Initiate and assist in the investigation of non-conforming materials or products, contributing to root cause analysis.
- Utilize quality control software and systems to record data, generate reports, and track quality metrics.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and other quality team members to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Assist in maintaining calibration records for inspection and test equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Quality management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work the specific hours and days to be defined by the facility.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
