The Programmer Analyst I will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions to support business operations. This role involves analyzing user requirements, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining existing applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality within Jabil's global manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyze software requirements, translating them into technical specifications and designs.
- Develop, code, test, and debug new applications, modules, and enhancements using various programming languages and development tools (e.g., C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript).
- Maintain and support existing applications, including identifying and resolving software defects, performance issues, and user-reported problems.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of developed solutions.
- Assist in the implementation and deployment of new software solutions, including data migration and user training.
- Adhere to Jabil's coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in software development or programming analysis.
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python) and web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
