Oversee a small team of program managers while directing company-wide programs, implementing program management strategies, and ensuring the customer satisfaction and program success.
What will you do?
- Organize and direct the activities of the Program Management function.
- Identify, hire and train Program Managers as well as advise subordinates in the more complex phases of their work.
- Allocate resources and coordinates the work flow of each Program Manager.
- Responsible for delivering quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features.
- Overseeing the progress and activities of all Program Teams, issuing a monthly report, managing individual programs on an as needed basis.
- Communicates with key customers to understand their needs, preferences, and perspectives. Ensures that the customer’s perspective is fully considered in the course of development of programs.
- Leads cross-functional teams to achieve timely, within budget results, with products and processes that meet or exceed requirements.
- Clearly articulates program status to senior management and develop creative approaches to address program challenges.
- Establishes project strategy, executes the plan and measures results.
- Leads project planning and commitment process.
- Responsible for making decisions regarding the appropriate risk when there is substantial program impact.
- Maintains project transparency through formal, written communications and reporting status systems.
- Anticipates opportunities for proactive solutions. Manage conflict situations to result in win-win outcomes.
- Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
- Responsible for the employment cycle, performance and compensation management, and training and development for assigned direct reports.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related discipline, Masters degree prefered.
- PMP or other relationed project management certification a plus but not required.
- 7 years of pharmaceutical related project management experience with at least 3 years of experience of direct people management.
- Project leadership experience within a pharmaceutical, development, or research environment.
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as excel, MS Project, and or Smart Sheets.
- Must have an understanding of business and client management
- Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
- Proven ability to solve problems.
- Understanding of the requirements specified by the FDA, OSHA, ISO, QS, and governmental agencies.
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Salary : $121,300 - $218,300
