Under limited supervision, responsible for repair, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform electrical, welding, painting, plumbing, and/or carpentry repairs.
- Calculate electrical loads.
- Review plans, create a materials list and cost estimation for future electrical requirements.
- Install electrical panels and associated circuits.
- Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
- Follow Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensure that the records for such are properly documented.
- May perform or assist in the installation, relocation and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.
- May perform or assist in the repair and maintenance of support equipment that includes but is not limited to, air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, HVAC, and DI water Systems.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least five to seven years experience.
- Electrician License, Journeyman (8,000 hrs)
- Manufacturing experience (extremely important)
- Must know single phase and three phase circuits and work with voltages 220, 380 and 480 volts. Be able to measure, bend, and support EMT.
- Repair lights of various voltages and service facility circuits throughout the buildings.
- Cable tray knowledge
- Must know how to use test meters to test for live circuits.
- Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Use of specialized maintenance tracking programs and building automation systems.
