JOB SUMMARY We are looking for a professional Embedded Software Engineer to execute complete embedded software development lifecycle. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment Design, develop, code, test and debug system software Review code and design Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources Integrate and validate new product designs Support software QA and optimize I/O performance Provide post production support Interface with hardware design and development Assess third party and open source software JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Currently enrolled at an accredited university/college as undergraduate Junior, Senior, Recent Graduate or Graduate Student Preferred Majors: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and other related majors GPA: 3.0 KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Required Solid programming experience in C or C Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components Proven working experience in software engineering Preferred Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems Strong documentation and writing skills BE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
