Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform a variety of maintenance tasks across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of our buildings and equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise in plumbing, electrical work, facilities equipment maintenance, building interior upkeep, and painting. The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance activities are completed efficiently to support a safe and well-maintained environment.
Duties
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems.
- Conduct electrical work such as wiring, fixture replacement, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Maintain and repair facilities equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Handle building interior maintenance tasks, including drywall repairs, door adjustments, and general upkeep.
- Carry out painting projects to maintain the aesthetic appeal of interior spaces.
- Inspect plumbing systems regularly and perform necessary repairs or replacements to prevent issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Experience
- Proven experience in general maintenance or a similar role within commercial or residential facilities.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical work, and building maintenance procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and perform repairs independently.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to electrical and plumbing work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Prior experience with painting and interior maintenance is preferred.
