Position Summary
As a Property Manager at JA Wood, you are the owner-operator of your assigned portfolio. You are the steady point of contact boards rely on to keep communication clear, open items moving, vendors accountable, and communities supported.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and can balance client service, practical problem-solving, financial awareness, and organized follow-through. The ideal candidate is responsive, confident, trainable, and able to manage details without losing sight of the client relationship.
Snapshot of What You Will Own
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned boards and community-related owner inquiries
- Own the day-to-day operation and client experience for your assigned portfolio
- Coordinate maintenance requests, vendor proposals, inspections, and project follow-up
- Support annual meetings, board meetings, meeting minutes, and board action items
- Review community documents, rules, violations, and operational issues with sound judgment
- Communicate clearly with boards, homeowners, vendors, and internal team members
- Track open items and follow through until issues are resolved or appropriately escalated
- Partner with Accounting to support board packet readiness, financial review, and client questions
What We Are Looking For
- Condominium or HOA experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and comfort managing multiple clients, projects, and deadlines
- Confidence working through competing priorities while keeping clients informed
- Ability to stay calm and professional with difficult personalities or stressful client situations
- Willingness to learn systems, workflows, governing documents, and association operations
- Comfort attending evening board meetings in person or virtually as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of property management, condominium management or HOA management
- Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software
- Experience in financial review, meeting support, site visits, violations, and project communications
Compensation and Growth
JA Wood Management offers a competitive compensation model designed to reward portfolio responsibility, client retention, performance, communication, and long-term growth.
- Experienced Property Managers typically earn $100,000 with no cap
- Compensation may include base compensation, portfolio-related compensation, and eligibility for performance-based bonus opportunities
