We are currently looking for a full-time Dock Worker to load and unload trailers at our Crystal Lake home-base terminal.
SHIFTS: 6:00pm to 2:00am, overtime may be required based on work load. No weekends!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Prepare, inspect, and clean trailers before loading freight
- Review freight bills for special instructions and inspect freight for damage
- Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years forklift experience, certified preferred.
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Work overtime as required.
- Ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to work and multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Willing and able to work alongside a variety of people, with emphasis on respect and safety.
- Must be able to pass drug screen.
