Position Summary:
The Accounting Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and efficient internal controls. This role is critical for managing the company’s financial health, supporting strategic decision-making, and leading the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to leadership.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Streamline accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
- Optimize working capital and liquidity strategies.
- ERP & Systems Management
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of accounting software and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with IT for system upgrades and integrations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in accounting, with 3 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Mandarin bilingual fluency is required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP).
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
