Job Description
The Field Engineer is a member of the team who assists in treatments of hydraulic fracturing, coordinates all frac materials on location, provides consultation of treatments to customers, troubleshoots fluid systems, acquires fracture treatment data, and prepare post job reports. The below duties are the primary tasks for this position; however, the position is NOT limited by these duties.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Field Engineer is responsible for the following:
- Execute hydraulic fracturing treatment for reservoir stimulation
- Utilize FracPro 2013 (or later) software to model, acquire and analyze real-time data during hydraulic fracturing treatment
- Maintain accurate inventory of chemicals and proppant types
- Coordinate supply logistics needed for job completion
- Conduct field quality assurance testing of frac fluid systems to ensure fluid stability with fresh and produced water sources
- Prepare post frac reports highlighting job and reservoir performance during pressure pumping
- Communicate with field hands, customer representatives, and third-party associates
- Qualifications and Skills
- Engineer hire with minimum of (1) years’ experience as a field engineer in well stimulation (hydraulic fracturing) and pressure pumping services.
- Minimum education required is a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Firm understanding of hydraulic fracturing principles, oilfield calculations, and frac fluid chemistry.
- Proficient with Fracpro
- Ability to run and troubleshoot Fracpro.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Proficiency in EXCEL is a MUST.
- Working knowledge and ability to work on pressure pumping equipment.
- Must have valid Driver's License
