This is a high-impact role where you’ll own the full accounting function, support strategic decision-making, and help guide the financial direction of a long-standing Montana success story. What You'll Actually Do:
- Own accounting operations including internal processes and external vendor relationships
- Manage all QuickBooks activity: management fee revenue, expenses, journal entries, credit cards, and month/year-end workflows
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, tax filings, and reporting packages
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration in partnership with outside accounting firm
- Build financial models and projections for benchmarking, national ranking submissions, and internal planning
- Coordinate employee benefits: onboarding, insurance renewals, 401(k) activities, and general employee support
- Evaluate and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and compliance practice
- Analyze trends and provide insights and recommendations to the Executive Team
- Support strategic and entrepreneurial initiatives across the firm to ensure long-term stability and growth
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA highly preferred
- 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience – Public accounting preferred
- Independent, organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage diverse responsibilities
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience in QuickBooks, required
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation $120K - $140K plus bonus
- 100% in office – Whitefish
