Overview

J2E Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to support enterprise systems administration efforts for a Department of Defense program. This role requires a current, verifiable Top Secret (TS) security clearance, with TS/SCI preferred. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering, configuring, and maintaining mission-critical systems, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, collaboration platforms, and applications within classified environments.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in systems administration across secure environments, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring compliance and optimizing system performance.


Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration & Maintenance

  • Administer, configure, and maintain PLM systems, including Aras, CMPRO, and Teamcenter.
  • Support and troubleshoot applications leveraging Oracle databases, ColdFusion, Bitvise, and Toad.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and availability; apply patches, updates, and upgrades as needed.

Collaboration Tools & Workflow Support

  • Manage and optimize collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence) to support engineering and programming teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and resolve complex integration issues.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and internal IT governance standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to security protocols for classified systems and data.

Integration & Process Improvement

  • Support integration between systems to enhance program efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to improve system reliability and user experience.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in secure, classified environments.
  • CompTIA security is required.
  • Must have Linux baseline certificate.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work under strict security and compliance standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, or Debian).
  • Hands-on expertise with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of system hardening and compliance with DISA STIGs in Windows and/or Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Industry certifications such as Security , CISSP, or relevant system administration certifications.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal IT programs.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud-based environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and related customization/configuration
  • Hands-on experience with Aras, CMPRO, and Teamcenter PLM systems.
  • Proficiency in Oracle database administration and development tools (e.g., Toad).
  • Familiarity with ColdFusion application support and Bitvise SSH/SFTP tools.
