Duties
- Operate and monitor pouring equipment, ensuring accurate and safe transfer of molten metal into molds.
- Prepare molds and manage the setup of pouring stations according to technical specifications.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections on castings, checking for defects and ensuring compliance with blueprint specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or metal casting environments with knowledge of foundry operations preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools and fabrication equipment safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
- Understanding of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
- Basic math skills necessary for measuring dimensions and calculating material requirements; experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is a plus.
