The First Shift Warehouse Associate – Shipping is responsible for preparing and processing outbound shipments during the first shift. This role focuses on verifying completed orders, packaging and labeling shipments, and ensuring all outgoing orders meet accuracy and quality standards. The Warehouse Associate – Shipping works closely with inspection and warehouse teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outbound shipments using shipping systems and carrier platforms
- Verify order accuracy, including item numbers, quantities, and shipping details prior to shipment
- Package orders securely to ensure safe transit to customers
- Generate and apply shipping labels using systems such as QuickShip or UPS WorldShip
- Coordinate with inspection and warehouse teams to ensure orders are ready for shipment
- Load and stage shipments for carrier pickup
- Maintain organization and cleanliness within the shipping area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to perform each essential duty accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with QuickShip, UPS WorldShip, or similar shipping software preferred
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP systems preferred
- Ability to navigate online resources such as engineering manuals
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
