Position Title: Warehouse Manager
Reports To: Assistant Controller
Department: Warehouse Management - 050120
Shift: Monday to Friday
Role: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the warehouse and staff. Supervise the process of receiving, storing, shipping and delivering of all incoming and outgoing, including guest and department packages for mail. Be able to perform warehouse functions: receive, pull orders, deliver to outlets, stock and rotate shelves. Supervise receiving with special emphasis on problem resolution. Assist with the off-loading and stocking of items. Responsible for securing goods from off-loading to reach outlets. Spot check for perishable food items and other items received, reviewing quality, dates, and proper rotation. Oversee ordering, maintaining and adjusting par levels for assigned work areas. Extensive use of computer system programs. Certified to operate all warehouse related equipment: manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, forklift and pallet lift. Organize and perform periodic inventory of all stored products. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Minimum-High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- 2 years or more previous shipping/receiving experience or 2 or more years as Warehouse Supervisor or Manager
- Skills:
- Working knowledge of basic computer programs required
- Supervision and training
- Safety management, reporting skills, deadline oriented, equipment maintenance, organized, identify areas of improvement
- Customer service
- Be able to read, speak, and write English
Required Work Cards needed:
- Health Card
- ServeSafe Certification
- Nevada Driver's License
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Supervise and schedule warehouse staff
- Coaching, counseling, and corrective action of staff
- Direct all in and out bound deliveries
- Spot check orders and product
- Prepare all out-going mail and packages, contact shippers as needed
- Receive and sort all incoming deliveries to the property
- Reconcile invoices and requisitions daily
- Order and receive into property software
- Organize and update all warehouse locations as needed
- Clean and maintain all warehouse rooms and dock area
- Rotate stock based on FIFO
- Secure receiving, warehouse and their contents daily
- Adhere to company policy
- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
