Position Title:  Sales Analyst

Reports To:  Vice President of Sales

Shift: Varies

 

Role: The Sales Analyst supports the sales organization by providing highquality analytical insights, reporting, and forecasting. Ensures data accuracy, identifies trends, and helps guide strategic decisions to enhance revenue performance. Collaborates crossfunctionally with sales, finance, marketing, and operations to optimize sales effectiveness and support organizational goals. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations.  Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field Preferred.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, revenue management, or a related analytical role.
  • Skills: 
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problemsolving skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau), and CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to plan, organize, and prioritize in a fastpaced environment; attention to detail and accuracy; customer service orientation.
    • Ability to interpret data clearly and provide actionable insights.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook/Email) and standard office equipment; flexible, teamoriented.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in hospitality, retail, or multiunit business environments.
    • Knowledge of forecasting models and revenue optimization.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Analytics & Reporting 
    1. Generate, analyze, and distribute daily/weekly/monthly sales reports to leadership.
    2. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve sales performance.
    3. Support development of sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs.
    4. Collect and validate data from multiple systems to ensure reporting accuracy.
    5. Conduct deep‑dive analyses on customer behavior, product performance, and market trends.
    6. Prepare dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
    7. Assist Sales Managers with territory planning, quota setting, and pipeline analysis.
    8. Collaborate with Finance to align revenue projections and performance tracking.
    9. Provide analytical support for promotions, pricing strategy, and sales initiatives.
    10. Sales Coordination and Administration:
    11. Manage high‑volume phone and email communications; accept, screen, and direct inquiries for the Sales department.
    12. Draft and produce correspondence, presentations, contracts, signage, and other department materials; maintain confidentiality as required.
    13. Establish and maintain files, records, and other documents.
    14. Assist leaders with meeting logistics, calendars, and departmental scheduling.
    15. Order, stock, and distribute office supplies; operate standard office machinery.
    16. Support preparation of reports, contracts, and presentations for Sales Managers, Directors, and VP of Sales.
  • CRM and Data Hygiene:
    • Assist in CRM maintenance and data hygiene to improve pipeline visibility and reporting accuracy.
    • Ensure customer and opportunity data integrity; coordinate updates with Sales and Marketing.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
    1. Partner with Marketing on promotions and sales initiatives; provide insights on campaign performance.
    2. Work with Operations to coordinate client needs and internal communications.
    3. Liaise with Finance to support revenue planning and performance tracking.

Work is performed in a (type of location, i.e., office, kitchen, restaurant, casino, etc.) environment and in other locations throughout the property.  Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.

  • Interacts with management, applicants, fellow Associates and/or guests.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents.  Ability to write reports, customer correspondence and notices to departments.  Ability to effectively handle meetings, communicate one on one to staff and present to large groups.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and give direction in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with and resolve problems involving multiple variables.
  • Requires prolonged standing, mobility, bending, reaching and lifting up to up 25 pounds
  • Requires eye/hand coordination and the ability to use standard office equipment  
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.   
  • Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
