Concierge - Full Time

Role:  The Concierge acts as a liaison between hotel guests and public/hotel operations. The Concierge is able to assist with guest requests to the highest level of satisfaction possible. The concierge is able to lend opinions/advice on local area attractions. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures.  Fosters team work and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations.  Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:   

• Must be literate and able to communicate in English. 
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Minimum two years college education preferred.
• Must have a minimum of one years experience in a service-oriented job.
• Must possess basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail. 
• Must be knowledgeable of surrounding area in order to recommend activities
• Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette. 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:  Health Card and TAM Card

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:  Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Handle and assist guest requests and questions in a timely and efficient manner. 
• Frequently assist with transportation and show bookings.
• Review daily events.
• Answers phone calls in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Maintain and accurate log of all guest requests. 
• Maintain Business Center tasks. 
• Make reservations and book off-site activities (jeep tours, ballooning, horseback riding, show tickets, etc.). 
• Perform all job-related duties as assigned.

Work is performed in an office environment and in other locations throughout the property.  Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.   A casino environment typically allows smoking.
