What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Coordinator position at J.W. Hunter Company, Inc.?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional Maintenance Coordinator for our Youngsville office. We are a well-established property management company with almost 50 years in the business. This position serves two large property portfolios consisting of 1,200 units. You will be the point of contact for all existing tenant maintenance. You must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Starting Salary: $40,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answering and returning phone calls and emails.
- Building rapport with current tenants to provide them personalized service.
- Entering work orders into Yardi property management software.
- Contacting property owners for permission to complete maintenance repairs.
- Communicating with vendors to ensure repairs are made in a timely manner.
- Ensuring repairs are completed and closing out work orders in Yardi software.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 1 years of experience in real estate or property management
- Administrative experience required, preferably in property management
- Software skills: proficient in Yardi property management software, knowledge of Inspect Cloud or other inspection software is a plus.
- Integrity and professionalism
- Team player, always courteous to customers as well as coworkers
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize daily tasks
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook required
- Valid driver's license required
