Job Overview:
JW Design and Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day to day management of the project. Working closely with our dynamic team, the Project Manager coordinates with the Design Team and subcontractors to drive the project forward seamlessly. The Project Manager's leadership will guide the efforts of the Project Engineer and Construction Superintendent, ensuring all project requirements are met efficiently and within budgetary constraints.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviews plans, specifications, to determine entire scope of the project and its scheduling requirements for subcontractors, materials and labor in order to acquire a thorough working knowledge of the project documents; understanding as much about what is in the project documents as what is not.
- Develops and maintains the overall project schedule.
- Ensures all changes to contract documents are approved by the Architect and Owner, as well as AHJ, when appropriate.
- Requests pricing and durations for changes from impacted subcontractors; compiles a change order request from Owner; tracks all changes that impact the critical path.
- Reviews lead times for materials based on approved submittals as well as submittals in process, throughout the entire project with the Superintendent.
- Consults with clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and vendors regarding issues, clarifications, and RFI’s.
- Conducts regular site inspections, documenting observations, safety concerns, and deviations from plans, and coordinating with subcontractors for resolution within Procore.
- Collaborates with office staff to ensure timely billing production, reviews payment requests, coordinates site walks for payment approval, and adheres to Fund Control Manager requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certification;
- 7-10 years of commercial construction-related experience;
- Possesses OSHA 30-hour Certificate, or ability to obtain certification;
- Astute mathematical skills in being able to calculate discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry;
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel), MS Project, Procore and Bluebeam;
- Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Astute time management, multi-tasking, attention to detail and follow-through skills;
- Ability to lift 50 pounds in weight; work outside in all types of weather; climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding; walk and work on uneven ground and surfaces; work around loud noises and potentially hazardous materials; wear safety / protective equipment;
- Ability to demonstrate leadership attributes that would include instilling confidence in yourself and others; effectively motivate and influence the actions and opinions of others; capable of accepting feedback and suggestions, including team members in decision-making, facilitating and process improvement;
- Valid CA driver’s license and clean, insurable driving record.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
