Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including floor scrubbing, floor waxing, buffing, and floor refinishing to maintain optimal floor care standards.
- Handle cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, dusting, window washing, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness and hygiene.
- Operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers with proficiency.
- Safely manage chemical agents used in cleaning processes, adhering to safety protocols for handling floor cleaning chemicals and other cleaning agents.
- Conduct manual handling of heavy items such as furniture or equipment during cleaning or moving tasks while following proper safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supplies used, and safety checks to ensure compliance with environmental services standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of the premises.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or environmental services environments.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, waxing, scrubbing, and carpet cleaning.
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while following all safety guidelines.
- Experience with chemical agent handling and understanding of proper usage of floor cleaning chemicals.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
