Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our dynamic team in the US. In this pivotal role, you will oversee plant operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in our production processes while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional woodwork solutions.
JSI is presently looking for a Plant Manager.
General description: Plan, organize, direct and control optimal day-to-day manufacturing operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of the kitchen factory
- Increase production capacity and flexibility, while minimizing costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Assume the management of production, product quality and shipping
- Ensure compliance with the production schedule
- Allocate resources effectively and make full use of them to produce optimal results and achieve production goals
- Work with the industrial engineering team for the continuous improvement of processes in order to optimize the performance and efficiency of the plant
- Manage operations and implement corrective actions, when necessary
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and play an active role in them
- Plan the maintenance of plant equipment to maximize its long-term value, according to the maintenance program;
- Work in concert with the logistics, schedule, production start-up and material control teams
- Any other task requested by direct supervisor
- Have 10 to 15 years of experience in management of an industrial or manufacturing production unit
- Be familiar with industry standard equipment and have technical expertise
- Have good computer knowledge
- Have a mobilizing and unifying leadership and excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Have a global vision and an innovative spirit.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE)
- Technical degree in Cabinetry/Woodwork combined with at least 7-10 years of progressive experience as a Supervisor or Plant Manager in the architectural woodwork production industry
- Have a good knowledge of solid woods, veneers, wood panels and substrates
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Positive influential leadership – ability to lead and manage a team to achieve production objectives for the plant.
