What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Set-up/Maintenance position at J Scott Catering?
We are looking for Event Set-up/Maintenance staff. Responsible for supporting successful event execution through venue preparation, equipment setup, maintenance, breakdown, and operational assistance. Ensuring event spaces are properly prepared, maintained, and restored while providing reliable support to the event team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Complete pre-event setup and post-event breakdown of event spaces
- Prepare venues, rooms, and grounds
- Arrange tables, chairs, and equipment
- Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Assist with moving equipment, supplies, and inventory between locations
- Perform routine maintenance checks throughout events
- Monitor event areas for cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards
- Assist event staff with operational needs during events
- Troubleshoot minor facility or equipment issues
- Communicate any damages, repairs, or concerns to management
- Maintain organization of storage areas, equipment, and event materials
- Assist with inventory counts and equipment organization
- Support breakdown, cleanup, and return of venues to original condition
- Ensure all company property is handled properly and returned after events
- Follow safety procedures when lifting, transporting, and setting up equipment
This job will consist mainly on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Shifts will go from the morning into the evening. Other shifts will be available if there is not an event at this set venue. Must have Driver's License.
