Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to boost sales and product knowledge
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Conduct upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase store revenue
- Maintain proper cash drawer handling, perform basic math calculations for transactions, and ensure accurate cash register operations
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and following store visual standards
- Supervise new team members or interns when needed, providing guidance on store procedures and customer interactions
- Keep the store clean, organized, and safe for both customers and staff
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus)
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership in a retail environment
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and stock management
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Experience in product demos, upselling strategies, and retail sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Familiarity with stock replenishment procedures, merchandising standards, and store presentation best practices
- Basic math skills for handling cash registers, balancing cash drawers, and performing sales calculations
